What do you charge for your service?
AGT charges an hourly fee which is paid per week. The actual cost will be based on the level of services you will be provided with; please chat to us today

Why should I choose to work with AGT?
At AGT we’ve made it our mission to give you access to the best talent available out there. We look after the entire recruitment and interview process, followed by all admin duties and paperwork. The apprentice is officially employed through us for the entire duration of their apprenticeship and we will deal with all questions, issues and payment throughout this period.
How does ACA (Apprenticeships Careers Australia) play a role in this?
In October 2016, NSW Business Chamber took over the operations of AGT.
This transition will see operations continue as normal, however, AGT is now backed by the expertise of NSW’s peak business organisation, bringing many benefits to our clients, staff and apprentices and business expertise in HR, IR and many other areas.
Additionally, AGT will adopt some of the unique and innovative recruitment techniques that NSW Business Chamber’s existing apprentice businesses use to ensure we have the very best candidates in the market for our clients.
Who covers the Workers Compensation?
AGT is covering this and is still required to cover the claims history component of Workers Compensation.
How do AGT's contracts start and finish?
Regardless of paperwork, the AGT contract commences when an apprentice starts in your workshop, and ends when the apprentice leaves your workshop.
Who deals with TAFE?
AGT is managing everything related to TAFE.
What if I hand the apprentice back?
Our service also comes with an extra safety net – not only are all contractual and tax related obligations with us, but we’re also giving you the option of handing the apprentice back to us if you ever need to and for whatever reason, with no financial penalty. We of course support you and the apprentice throughout their employment to make sure you both get the most out of it.
What happens at the end of the apprenticeship?
The apprentice is free to work for anyone who offers employment.
Can I pay the apprentice above the award? If so, will the AGT fees increase?
You can pay the apprentice any amount you choose, providing it is in excess of minimum rates.
Are there any circumstances that allow me to take the apprentice over from AGT?
Yes, but there is a cost associated with it. Please chat to us if you'd like to look into this further.
