Do you take a percentage of the apprentices' pay?
No! There is no fee to the apprentice or their family.
What is your policy on rotating apprentices?
Providing the workshop that the apprentice is placed in can cover all the skill requirements, there will be no rotation. If this is not the case, then rotation will be required.
Work Placements
AGT will assist the school in organising work placements.
Will AGT attend a school to do presentations on the Automotive Industry?
Yes!
What is your policy on how far from home the apprentice will be placed in a workshop?
AGT attempts to place the apprentice as close to their home as possible.
Are you an Agency?
No! AGT is a private company.
Will AGT attend schools to do pre-selections?
Yes, if there are five or more students.
What is the apprenticeship made up of?
A standard 36 months, combining TAFE and workshop practice. A further 12 months work practice is necessary. Some apprentices, depending on their individual ability, may not require the full four years to complete their apprenticeship.
