WHAT ARE YOUR COSTS?
AGT charges a flat fee, by year, per week. This fee is separate to whatever the apprentice, themselves, earns.
WHO RECEIVES THE GOVERNMENT INCENTIVE?
AGT receives this as the employer. Once you receive our weekly charge, you will understand that these monies are used to keep AGT's costs to you at a minimum.
WHO COVERS THE WORKERS COMPENSATION?
AGT, and, after 1 July 2007, AGT will still be required to cover the claims history component of Workers Compensation.
WHO COVERS THE PUBLIC LIABILITY?
Since AGT is not in direct control of the workshop, it is up to the workshop to have it's own insurance protection.
HOW DO AGT'S CONTRACTS START & FINISH?
Regardless of paperwork, the AGT contract commences when an apprentice starts in your workshop, and ends when the last apprentice leaves your workshop.

WHAT IF I HAND THE APPRENTICE BACK?
It is up to you when the apprentice leaves your workshop for good and there is no financial penalty.
IF THE APPRENTICE WORKS OVERTIME, DOES THE RATE AGT CHARGES ME CHANGE?
No! There is no administration fee charged on overtime.
CONTINUITY OF SERVICE - WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE APPRENTICESHIP?
The apprentice is free to work for anyone who offers employment.
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES THAT I, AS THE HOST, AM ENTITLED TO, AND HOW DO I APPLY FOR THEM?
AGT retains the ATI amount of any funding provided by the Government. Any additional amounts will be passed onto the host trainer. As the employer, AGT will apply for any additional funding available and then pass them on to the hosting company.
CAN I PAY THE APPRENTICE ABOVE THE AWARD? IF SO, WILL THE AGT FEES INCREASE?
You can pay the apprentice any amount you choose, providing it is in excess of minimum rates and, NO, your administration fees will not increase because of this fact.
TAFE FEES! ARE THESE REIMBURSED TO THE APPRENTICE? HOW DOES THE APPRENTICE GO ABOUT GETTING REIMBURSED?
On successful completion of the TAFE studies each year, AGT will refund the TAFE fees to the apprentice once results have been shown to AGT.
ARE THERE ANY CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ALLOW ME TO TAKE THE APPRENTICE OVER FROM AGT?
Yes, but there is a financial penalty listed in your contract.
